Ooooooooh, I’ve wanted to see Hoop-Dee-Doo since I can remember! It’s hard to believe I’ve been coming to Walt Disney World since I was a kid, and lived here a decade, but there are still so many things on property I haven’t gotten around to doing yet!
We were so excited our pal John David asked us to join him on his birthday, starting the day with renting a boat at the Grand Floridian and ending at Fort Wilderness! We got there a bit before our reservation and walked around the stables for a bit.
That awkward moment when you see your occasional co-workers outside of work and they don’t even bother to say hello!
Then it was Hoop-Dee-Doo tiiiiiiime!
My favorite from the day. <3
I mean… <3
I don’t wanna brag, but I was *really* good at playing that washboard! :) John David, we love you to pieces and were so happy to spend the day with you! Happy 30!!!
We LOVE HDDMR!!! However, I swear they have the grumpiest servers on property!! How was your experience with that? Look like you had a great time. Nice to see some great pics, I’m never able to get good ones :) Happy bday to your buddy!
Looooooove! Bottomless sangria is enough to make me want to try Hoop Dee Doo, but the rest of your pictures make me want to go even more!! (Apparently I’ve already been – there’s even a photo of 6 year old me playing the washboard – but I have zero memory of this!)
I always hear good things about this place and the show so I’m glad it got the Jensey approval so I can keep it on the “To Do Someday” list. :) It looks like a lot of fun!
I enjoyed Hoop Dee Doo the one time we went, don’t know if I would go back. Our server was rushed and seemed to think all his other tables were way more important than ours. He seemed annoyed that I had food allergies and we were right near the kitchen doors.
If I did go again I think I would try to be in the balcony. Good view of the show, that I did enjoy, with no constant parade of rushing servers carrying trays over my head!
