Jensey Loves Disney Boat Rentals

7th July 2015

Last month was one of the most stressful months of my life, between my health and family drama and our work calendar busting at the seams! Our pal John David was celebrating his 30th birthday in the middle of it all, and oh, was it the break I needed from life at the most perfect time.

We kicked off celebrating John David with a boat rental at the Grand Floridian. I’m not a water person, or a boat person, but this is officially my new favorite thing to do on property. We rented a pontoon boat for about an hour, and sailed from the Grand, past the Contemporary and deserted Discovery Island, all the way to the Wilderness Lodge and back. I know it was only so fun because of our company, but if you have a spare day on your Walt Disney World vacation, I can’t recommend this enough. :)

Us not having fun. Nope, not one bit!

“Roses are red. Violets are blue. I love Spectre.” Remember all those shoes on the line in Big Fish? There’s this random tree near Fort Wilderness that’s filled with shoes- so crazy!

Look closely and you can see Nate got the Walt Disney World Railroad, monorail, and boat all in one shot- All we’re missing is a bus! :)

Then it was back to Trader Sam’s for a snack and drink. I love that John David, the tallest friend I have, got the sinking bar stool. :)

LOVE the water activities at WDW!! I have to say, while I enjoyed some of the drinks at Trader Sams, the food was a bust for us and I found the overall attitude of the bartenders to be, snooty. I did love the decor and ambiance, but felt very unwelcome there. We, of course, will give it another try next year 9hopefully with you guys!!!) but do not have high hopes. Although, outdoor part has rum dole whips and they were AMAZING!

Sounds like a great way to spend your friends birthday! That shot with most of the transportation in it is amazing! So cool!

My family did this over our wedding trip (but at the Beach Club lake area) and they wouldn’t stop raving about it! I think it’s especially great for people who aren’t as into the parks going to FL. It looks so relaxing and so fun, and I love the photos of you guys both on the boat/at Trader Sams (especially that solo shot of you on the boat – totally model channeling!!)
